Head of Transfer Agency - July 2010

Our Client, a leading Financial Services Company in Dublin City Centre has a vacancy for a Head of Transfer Agency.

Responsibilities:
  • You will have responsibility for delivery of services in these areas to a consistent high standard and will be accountable for operational performance and driving service and operational enhancements
  • You will be accountable for services being operated and delivered in tangent with high focus on minimizing risk and meeting both client service agreements and regulatory requirements
  • Accountable for high standard of delivery to clients on agreed timeframes
  • Take a lead role in the management of existing / potential top tier clients a relating to all aspects of the companies Transfer Agency services
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients at senior levels by regular interface and advance operational planning
  • Possess well developed networking skills and have ability to manage clients and relevant personnel firmly, constructively and appropriately
  • Ensure that companies transfer agency operating environment can accommodate growth in the number of new clients and new funds serviced while ensuring client service standards are attained and risks managed
  • Ensure that the transfer agency output is operating at appropriate
  • Develop programmes to ensure a process of continuous improvement in the depth and strength of transfer agency services capability with focus on continuous succession planning, management development and technical training
  • Have the business knowledge and innovative skills to implement significant organisational change. Drive implementation of agreed local process changes to achieve operating efficiency in the accounting functions
  • Prime responsibility to ensure IT developments and operational changes that are required to take place are effectively highlighted with detailed specification and implemented within reasonable timeframes
  • To ensure there are no internal or external audit issues within areas of responsibility
  • The job holder will be required to lead and manage a large team of specialist managers and team members. The role requires the ability to mentor and develop personnel, to motivate and provide direction and to ensure all staff receive appropriate training and progress their development. Responsible for effective succession planning within areas of management.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge, proficient product and analytical skills are essential attributes required for the position
  • Strong leadership skills in managing a large cross location transfer agency
  • A proven track record of identifying and implementing successful process change
  • Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and ability to bring about significant organisational change
  • Significant experience interfacing at senior levels with Clients, Regulators and Market participants
  • Evidence of strong legal and regulatory knowledge and running business in a compliant manner
  • Strong presentation and communication skills are a requisite for the position
  • Evidence ability to contribute strategically to the business
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Funds and Transfer Agency industry and the ability to recognise and respond to the needs and expectations of key stakeholders
  • Be a competent role model for leadership, energy and strategic involvement befitting participation at most senior levels of the organization
  • Have a credible track record of senior management experience in the Offshore Funds business
